Horizontal Rules
Horizontal rules can be used to add interest to your page
and/or help divide the page into sections (which can be easier for the
reader). Instructions for the following are included in this document:
Adding
Horizontal Rules
These instructions will insert a shaded, horizontal rule
which is 100% of the screen width and 2 pixels high. These default settings
can be easily changed to customize the appearance
of the horizontal rule.
Adding Horizontal Rules: Menu Option

Set your insertion point where the rule should appear

From the Insert menu, select
Horizontal Rule
Adding Horizontal Rules: Toolbar Option

Set your insertion point where the rule should appear

In the Insert pane, from the Common
tab, click HORIZONTAL RULE
Customizing
Horizontal Rules
The following instructions show you how to customize
horizontal rules to achieve the desired appearance. For examples of changes
applied to the size, height, alignment, and shading attributes of horizontal
rules, see the
Horizontal Rule Options document.

To open the Horizontal Rule Properties pane,
select the horizontal rule
The Horizontal Rule Properties pane appears.

Deselect Shading

Name horizontal rule |

Under Horizontal Rule, in the blank text
box, type the desired name

Deleting
Horizontal Rules
It is easy to remove horizontal rules when you no longer
want them or want to change their location.

To select the horizontal rule, click it

Press [Delete]
